Hi, my name's Eddie and I'm a Senior Designer (and amateur photographer) living in Cumberland, BC, Canada.
Growing up as a passionate snowboarder and skater, graphic design and photography found me via magazines. I bought my first Snowboarder Mag in December 1998, and have been consuming skate and snow media ever since. Aesthetic has always mattered more to me. I firmly believe that style and the way something is perceived is what makes or breaks its success.
In 2014, I chased my dreams and earned my Diploma in Graphic Media Design, and shortly after graduating was hired by a Victoria based digital marketing agency. In my 9+ years with the agency, I developed from a Graphic Designer to a Sr. UX/UI Designer. My design style is focused on the thoughtful use of space, colour, text and imagery to convey feeling and also help viewers navigate a journey. The principle that I rely on tremendously is accessibility, as I feel it is imperative that all viewers / users have equal access to visual content.
In July 2024, I stepped away from the agency to explore other creative avenues. It became time for a change, and thus I have been freelancing while I look for my next great opportunity. I truly enjoy the challenge of telling a brand's story authentically, and helping communicate with and inspire their audience. I have extensive experience in branding, digital and print marketing, and UX design. Some past clients I've worked with include large Canadian cities, a U.S. Regional Council, provincial energy suppliers, an aircraft producer, solar energy providers, a few Regional Districts, HVAC and plumbing experts, and many others.
Outside of designing, my life revolves around my family, going on adventures to new places, snowboarding as much as possible, biking, and shooting a lot of photos. Happy browsing, and thanks for stopping by!
